Political Yin Yang Button

In this time of division, this button is designed to make a statement, that no matter our political differences, we are all in this together, and in fact our differences are complementary and necessary to the whole. The button is based on the traditional yin yang symbol, which shows a balance between two opposites, with a portion of the opposite element in each section, that together form an indivisible whole. The traditional yin yang symbol is black and white, here the colours are red and blue, representing the two political parties, Republican (red) and Democrat (blue), with points of synthesis of their ideas and ideal depicted in purple, the fusion of red and blue. This is a small button, meant to be worn over your heart. All monies collected on the sale of this button (15% of sales before taxes) will go to help fund Creative Politics, a new initiative under development that will be the world’s first community-based political incubator, synthesizing the best of liberal and conservative ideals, history and technology, to generate projects, campaigns, showcases, contests --all well outside the Beltway—and more, that we hope will help restore our nation, as well as the joy of politics and political endeavour.
