Poitiers organ postcard

Poitiers in France is known as the city of five organs - this, in St Hilaire, is one of them. The fine 19th century pipe organ in St-Hilaire-le-Grand, (to give it its full title) was built by Georges Wenner, in 1884, the organ is in a light-wooden case and has three manuals and pedals. It was restored from 2003 to 2007 by Gérard Bancells. The church itself is a fine example of Romanesque architecture.
