"Poissons Volants: L'Hippocampe" Notebook

Part of my "Poissons Volants" series ("Flying Fish)" - combining my love with sea creatures and Rococo era portraiture - "L'Hippocampe" (the seahorse) was such a fun painting to do! In addition to the prismatic sehorse, there are some leafy sea dragons too! Seahorses and Seadragons are two of the most magical little animals (I could hardly believe it the first time I saw a Leafy Sea Dragon - they are amazing). And of course in the spirit of my Poissons Volants series these wee beasties are flying about on beautiful butterfly wings! The original painting debuted and sold at the Spectrum Fantastic Art Live show in 2012, prints and posters are now available!

I love journals and notebooks, so I was very excited to be able to order one using a piece of my artwork as the cover design. I can say this because the cover is my own digital design, so I have the original artwork to compare the colors. The colors are exact to the artwork.
