Pitcher with Oranges Throw Blanket

Pitcher with Oranges is a still life painted in oil on canvas. Bring the magic and beauty of this stil life painting in your home. A still life (also known by its French title, nature morte) painting is a piece that features an arrangement of inanimate objects as its subject. Usually, these items are set on a table and often include organic objects like fruit and flowers and household items like glassware and textiles. The earliest known still life paintings were created by the Egyptians In this particular Still Life I liked to highlight the balance between the colours of the pitcher and the oranges. The ancient shape of the pitcher is a wonderful contrast to the simplicity of the fruits. A nice setup for an afternoon tea to welcome friends.
