About This Design

Pissarro - Boulevard Montmartre, Spring Tile

Boulevard Montmartre, Spring (Boulevard Montmartre, matinée de printemps), painted in 1897 in oil on canvas by Danish-French Impressionist painter Camille Pissarro. It captures the Paris boulevard from a high hotel window in spring. Trees, buildings, carriages and pedestrians fill the broad avenue beneath a luminous sky, turning everyday city traffic into a lively Impressionist scene.
