This is one of several photos I took of Pikes Peak mountain, the mountain that inspired Katherine Lee Bates to write "America the Beautiful", taken from my home town of Colorado Springs, Colorado. This has always been my favourite mountain, over 14,000 feet above sea level, to hike. Image taken from Garden of the Gods with the Siamese Twin rocks as the border of the mountain.
