phonics postcard or flashcard

This cute dog can be sent as a postcard or used as a flashcard to learn phonics. You can make a game out of all 26 cards, for example, put out two cards and ask, what letter makes the sound "a a a A A A" as you sing the sound to the Alphabet Song BUT MAKE SURE YOU ONLY SING THE SOUND! If they get it right, the learner put in a pile. If they get it wrong, pick up the correct card and say cheerfully, "Here it is, "a a a A A A"! You may want to point to each letter as you sing the sound. They may join in with you to sing it. Then the person who is learning, gets to put it in the pile. It's a WIN-WIN GAME. Do as many cards, at a time, as you feel it remains at a fun level. If the learner is losing interest, sing "All done, all done, GOOD JOB, GOOD JOB! They may want to sing with you!
