Fraternity leaders visited US President Calvin Coolidge (Amherst 1895) at the White House on January 23, 1926. It was part Phi Gamma Delta's Section Chiefs' Conference. Said the fraternity magazine, "The President is genuinely interested in the fraternity, not only because of his own associations with it, but because his son John is a member at Amherst."
