A hundred years ago, they mixed medicine by hand, and while we have compounding pharmacies that do that today, back then they used a nature trail to gather materials. From twigs to leaves, spices and heavy metals. They would grind and mix these up and created pills out of it. The pills were made by hand, and as you can see in that jar, they were random in size. But because the medicine probably had random poisons in it, it probably didn't matter. Today we have medicine that is more "advanced" or what we call advanced. And instead of it being in ball form, its in gummy animal form.
