Petanque, also known as Boules or French Boules, is a popular outdoor ball game that originated in France. The objective of the game is to throw or roll a set of hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called the cochonnet or jack. Players take turns throwing their balls, and the team with the ball closest to the cochonnet at the end of each round scores points.
