The food of Peru is said by many to be the best in the world. Fresh food with a great deal of variety. Peru is the birthplace of the potato and with thousands of types in existence, it would be hard to find a meal that doesn't contain at least a couple types of potato dishes. Causa is a big favourite. Made with delicious yellow potatoes and layered with avocado, onion and usually chicken or tuna, it is served nearly everywhere. Sometimes it can be found stuffed with crabmeat and decorated with shrimp! Oh, Yum!
