Perspective Card

....This is one of several shots I took of this random stranger and his german shepherd as they walked along the area we refer to as 'Dog Beach' last Sept. He was such a cool guy - stopping every little bit to pickup a stray stick or driftwood and toss it into the waves for his buddy to go fetch; and the dog was having a tremendously fun time frolicking in the water & running here and there. But the one thing that kept catching my eye, despite how attentive the guy was to his boistrous, four-legged companion, he seemed so distracted and detatched, almost like he was merely going through the motions and completely lost in thought.... Several times I noted how he paused and stared thoughtfully out over the water. When this happened and play time ceased, his german shepherd seemed almost concerned & appeared to watch him very carefully; standing patiently by the mans side as if to say "I understand.... I completely agree"....
