The product is made with a durable plastic. It did have some scratches on the portion which actually fits inside the hitch "square" so that's not a big deal because you can't see it. Also had a scratch on the top outermost portion. THAT.... I was not too pleased with. I felt if they didn't want to start over, they could have at least put it on the bottom where it would be totally out of sight unless you were lying on the ground. Print/graphics was identical to what I had ordered. Very pleased!
