Peony Chemistry Science Flower Apron

Bridge science and art with this unique chemistry design featuring a pink peony flower with five primary molecular constituents of their beautiful scent. Peonies have a complex scent that's a combination of floral, citrus, and woodsy notes contributed to by several molecules. The five featured here are (-)-citronellol (rose), (S)-linalool (floral), geraniol (rose), and citral (citrus). Citral is a mixture of geranial and neral. On larger prints, you may notice the small "Support Women" in the stem of the flower; a nod to supporting women in STEM. This specific peony flower was grown and photographed in Dr. Marissa's family's garden. These designs are a part of my initiatives to make science, especially chemistry, more approachable and understandable for broader audiences. Thanks for your support and for sharing chemistry.
