Pennsylvania Reading Seashore Lines 1957 Postcard
From www.railphotoexpress.biz
PRSL Time Tables for Southern New Jersey Passenger Train Service in 1957
It also has a map of The Passenger Train Service Area.
The Passenger Trains ran between Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Camden N.J. and Atlantic City, Ocean City, Wildwood and Cape May N.J.
On March 4, 1931, New Jersey's public utility regulators ordered the two railroad companies, The Pennsylvania Railroad and The Reading Railroad Lines, to join their southern New Jersey railroad lines into one company, The Pennsylvania Reading Seashore Lines
On July 1, 1982, the last of those Passenger Train runs, by then operated by Conrail, were replaced by buses because of a federally imposed track speed limit of 15 mph. PRSL properties were conveyed to Conrail on April 1, 1976.
