Peking opera makeup Zhang Fei Latte Mug

Zhang Fei was a military general during the late Eastern Han Dynasty of China. In the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Zhang Fei was shown as an exceedingly loyal and formidable warrior, but also a short-tempered man. His weapon was a 1.8 zhang spear with serpent-shaped head. In this design, his face was painted as a black cross-door butterfly face. Butterflies have the virtue of "flying" and "wings", which corresponds to his name “Fei”.
