Peace Church Post Card

Blessings from Peace Lutheran Church, a small, multi-ethnic congregation in the Hilltop neighbourhood of Tacoma, WA. This photo features a shot of the white church steeple against a blue spring sky. This former wooden bell tower, built in 1909, is a white rectangle with brown zig-zag eaves and grey conical steeple, topped with a small, white, wooden cross. In the lower left of the image, a mass of white dogwood blossoms cover the lower portion of the tower, with two stray blossoms reaching out into the blue sky to the right. I'm fond of these dogwoods, as I helped to plant them when our adjoining community centre was built in 2000.
