Peace Christmas Boat Card

Each December, groups of brightly-lit boats parade around Puget Sound during the Christmas Ship Festival. You can catche them in many different ports around the area. The ship in this photograph is Argosy's "Spirit of Seattle," which leads each parade. This official Christmas Ship is a three-deck, 115-foot cruise ship that provides harbour tours throughout the year, but turns into a beautiful guiding light at the Christmas season. Here white lights outline each deck, reflecting into the dark water of Commencement Bay in Tacoma. The stern of the ship is lit with the word "PEACE" in white, capital letters. A few other white lights twinkle in the darkness near the ship. The image is set in a black oval onto a red background. At the top of the card, the words, "Peace To All" are written in white script.
