Paul Gauguin Haymaking With Scripture Verse Poster

Christian adaptation of an 1889 painting by French artist Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), entitled Haymaking. Gauguin was an influential painter who is known for his experimental use of colour and his influence on avant garde art. Text of Matthew 11:28,29 has been added to this scene depicting peasant workers in the hay field with team of oxen. This cherished Bible passage is a quote from Jesus Christ and reads, "Come unto me all ye who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."
