Original oil painting by California artist, Susan Payne-Trutna. I couldn't possibly paint my way through Paris without stopping to visit Le Prince Jardinier, originally located in the Palais Royal and now on the ground floor of Deyrolle on 46 Rue du Bac. This upscale garden tool shop had a gorgeous library on the second floor with huge zinc and stone tables covered with garden books, hurricane lamps, and cloches. The limed walls and mahogany bookcases held botanicals, beetles and butterflies...cachepots and more books...
