Paris Art Shop Postcard

Original oil painting by California artist, Susan Payne-Trutna. Van Gogh and purchased supplies at Sennelier. I did not. Too overwhelmed by the art history, the colour choices and huge array of products, I couldn't even manage to buy a magic marker or super sized piece of coloured chalk! On my next pilgrimage to THE place for aspiring and established artists, I'll be prepared to zero in on the floor length smock or jars of pigments or brushes or maybe even a pricey wooden paint box. Family owned since 1887, Sennelier is located just across the Seine from the Louvre, and right next to Ecole des Beaux-Arts at 3 Quai Voltaire, 75007.
