Paradise Valley Chapel, Montana Postcard

"Paradise Valley Chapel, Montana" by Catherine Sherman. We saw this tiny church in the Paradise Valley after we left Yellowstone National Park on our way to Bozeman, Montana a few years ago. I don't know whether the chapel is still in this location, as it has been moved recently, according to online reports. The 10-by-14-foot room has stained-glass side windows and eight wooden theatre-type seats that face a white cross on a pulpit. Beyond are the magnificent Absaroka Mountain Range. Over the more than four decades since the church was built, the Bozeman Christian Reformed Church congregation has collected thousands of signatures and comments on 4,800 pages from logbooks kept at the back of the chapel. Known as the Meditation Point Chapel, the tiny church has provided a place for prayer and meditation and also sometimes served as an overnight shelter for weary travelers. Several weddings have also been performed in the chapel.
