They're known for their intelligence, curiosity and vocalization skills. Despite the fearsome name, there has never been a documented malicious attack on humans by wild killer whales. They're tolerant of people in their environment and quickly learn to take advantage of food sources such as fishing boats and nets. Spiritually, Orca is a sign of protection, journeying and the subconscious. In some cultures, these animals are considered to be the souls of departed friends and relatives.
