Orangutan Wildlife Charity Magnet

Rain forests are not only essential to the climate of our planet but are home to endangered species, such as the orangutan which is the only great ape surviving in the wild outside of the African continent. The gentle orangutan is a vegetarian, having fingerprints and three of the same blood types as we humans. The word orangutan means "people of the forest." Hundreds of young orangutans ( like the little female pictured here) are orphaned when their mothers are killed during the clearing of land.
