Orangish Pink Iris Tile
There are around 260–300 species of flowering plants in the Iris genus, many with showy flowers. The iris takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, which is also the name for the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris. Some authors state that the name refers to the wide variety of flower colours found among the many species. Irises often have a rich velvety texture, with petal-like flags and fuzzy "beards." I found this orangish pink variety intriguing, and an interesting contrast from the more traditional purple and whie iris colours.
