Old Town Carriage Driver in Aarhus, Denmark Poster

"Old Town Carriage Driver in Aarhus, Denmark" by Catherine Sherman. A girl dressed in traditional attire steadies two grey horses harnessed to a carriage, with a driver seated at the reins while they await passengers in The Old Town museum in Aarhus, Denmark (Danish: Den Gamle By). They are on a dirt path with greenery and a thatched-roof fuller's mill and water wheel in a stream in the background, evoking the scene from a re-created historical time period. Actors at the museum take on the roles of historical figures, showing off traditional crafts and daily life. The fuller's mill in the museum was originally built in 1824. Fulling mills and fulling is part of the woollen cloth making process and involves cleaning and milling woven cloth to produce a material that is thicker and denser, and therefore warmer and often water repellent. The Old Town is an open-air town museum, consisting of 75 historical buildings collected from 20 Danish townships. In 1914 the museum opened as the world's first open-air museum of its kind, concentrating on town culture rather than village culture. More than three million people visit each year. The museum buildings are organized into a small town of mostly half-timbered structures originally erected between 1550 and the late 19th century and later moved to Aarhus during the 20th century. Photograph taken in July 2014.

My Bible verse postcard, turned out excellent. I love it and have it already framed. It was so reasonably priced for something done so well. Thank you to Zazzle and the artist! I thought it looked exactly like what I ordered. Perfect.

Poster is printed clearly, good quality . Inclusive of many prints . The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown
