Old Style Watercolor Christmas Tree in Snow Stone Coaster

A green fir tree in the snow, decorated for Christmas with red ornaments and topped with a star. We see it as it may appear on a snowy day, but not in a living room. Instead, in the old style, this Christmas tree is shown in the snow, against a subdued blue sky while perhaps it is snowing lightly in the evening of a cold December day. What an opportunity to be able to decorate a living tree in your own yard. Here it is seen without the bright lights used today. I painted it in this vintage tradition without the aid of modern digital technology. I hope the trees soft, quiet appearance brings a moment of calm in what can be a very stressful season.
