Old Style Watercolor Christmas Tree in Snow Coffee Mug

A green fir tree in the snow, decorated for Christmas with red ornaments and topped with a star. We see it as it may appear on a snowy day, but not in a living room. Instead, in the old style, this Christmas tree is shown in the snow, against a subdued blue sky while perhaps it is snowing lightly in the evening of a cold December day. What an opportunity to be able to decorate a living tree in your own yard. Here it is seen without the bright lights used today. I painted it in this vintage tradition without the aid of modern digital technology. I hope the trees soft, quiet appearance brings a moment of calm in what can be a very stressful season. I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
