Okefenokee Swamp USA Postcard

The Okefenokee Swamp is a vast peat-filled wetland straddling the Georgia–Florida border in the southeastern United States. It is one of the largest intact freshwater ecosystems in North America and is known for its dark reflective waters, cypress forests, and floating peat islands. The swamp is home to a rich diversity of wildlife including alligators, black bears, herons, and rare amphibians.
