An "oil derrick" provides cover for a picnic table, one of several at rest stops on both sides of I-20, northeast of Tyler, Texas. The rest stop isn't far from Kilgore, Texas, where the greatest concentration of oil wells in the world once existed in the 1930s. Rows of oil derricks still "decorate" that town.
