For this classroom poster I created images of a cold landscape and endless fences. These images counter the poignant themes of the friendship and hope that sustain the two wanderers in Steinbeck's story of the great Depression, Of Mice and Men. We see George and Lennie, two "bindlestiffs" fading into the landscape, caught on a path they cannot escape. "Idioms" are defined with a select text example, which is their dream of a ranch and there is a short description of the characters.
