A reef octopus holds its ground, wedged snugly between two long-spined sea urchins at the base of a coral wall. It's a classic piece of octopus cleverness, using the urchins as bodyguards while it watches the world go by. A honeycomb grouper lingers nearby and a hawkfish drifts past overhead, but the octopus is unbothered. Shot on a reef in the Gulf of Thailand, this image captures one of those small unremarkable-looking moments that divers live for. The mirrored edit turns it into something more surreal and decorative, a symmetrical portal into a busy little corner of the seafloor. For the ocean-obsessed, the dive-addicted, and anyone who has ever locked eyes with an octopus underwater and felt like the smarter one was doing the observing.

I ordered these with interiors of yellow, red, maroon, pink, navy blue, and light blue. Note that the navy blue is VERY dark and looks black in some lighting.
