Ocean Beach Cleanup Invitation

Host a community beach, river, lake, wetland, or underwater cleanup, or even a city neighborhood, as the ocean is downstream from all of us and by keeping your city clean, you help keep the ocean clean and healthy. Try contacting local outdoor, diving, and water sport shops to help organize while spreading the word. You can recruit volunteers through social media, news outlets, community posters, or local youth groups. Make a lasting connection for ocean health by encouraging cleanup volunteers to “adopt” a local beach, river, lake, wetland, or underwater area to keep clean and help make every day World Ocean Day.
