Noyes "Heart of the Woods" Victorian Postcard

Postcard: "Heart of the Woods" (Alfred Noyes), vintage art and historical poetry with a modern twist. A girl daydreams in the depths of a quiet forest in this lovely Victorian illustration c. 1840-1860 by an artist by the name of Lacour. The original black-and-white engraving is in the public domain, and I've remixed it with a modern twist by digitally hand-colouring it. To complement the enchanting imagery, I've incorporated a quotation from the beautiful 1902 poem In the Heart of the Woods by Alfred Noyes: "The Heart of the woods, I hear it, beating, beating afar... For the Heart of the woods is the Heart of the world and the Heart of eternity, Ay, and the burning passionate Heart of the heart in you and me." This pretty postcard is perfect for the 21st-century lover of 19th-century art and poetry, on any occasion.
