This design features the national flag of Norway (officially known as the Kingdom of Norway), which is a Nordic country in Northern Europe. The mainland territory of Norway comprises the western and northernmost portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Mainland Norway and the remote island of Jan Mayen as well as the archipelago of Svalbard form Metropolitan Norway, while Bouvet Island, located in the Subantarctic, is a dependency of the Kingdom of Norway. The capital of Norway is Oslo, which also the country's largest city.
