North Star (Moose) Polo Club Baseball

The logo of the mythical North Star Polo Club in Fairbanks, Alaska features a polo player swinging his mallet while riding a moose and text reading "North Star Polo Club, Fairbanks, Alaska". Things are a bit different here in Alaska. Add your own additional text. Text reading "Alaska" also appears in glowing blue and white on a starry background. Actually, riding a moose as if it were a horse is not unheard of. Moose are easily trained when they are young and become close to their handlers. Sweden and Russia, and possibly some other Scandinavian countries experimented with moose cavalry units. Moose are far superior to horses as mounts in often marshy tundra and northern forests. Moose as cavalry mounts ultimately failed as the animals could not become accustomed to the noise created when weapons are fired.
