The original name of the municipality was Kjelvik, after a fishing village with the same name. But the village was æby the Germans in 1944 and it never recovered. As a æof this the・changed the name to Nordkapp in 1950 _____ Nordkapp er ein kommune i Finnmark. Han grensar i sørvest mot Måsøy, i sør mot Porsanger, og i søraust mot Lebesby kommune.
