The assassin bug is a common insect found in many gardens. This one was found among my Texas sage last Spring. Words do hurt, just like the daggered mouth of the assassin bug which it uses to stab and paralyze its prey at the opportune time. This design is to bring awareness to how common bullying is and it causes a lot of emotional distress to a lot of people. It is not to demonize the insect that many gardeners (including myself) consider beneficial to the garden's eco system.
