NO 3-NOP FOR COWS by RoseWrites Mug

A Toronto Sun Dec 3, 2023 article by Dr. Sylvain Charlebois caught my eye when I was searching for Bovaer-free farms in North America. It stated: "Reports indicate that most Canadian cattle and dairy producers do not currently use Bovaer and have no immediate plans to adopt it, with commercial supplies still limited." I wasn't reassured, so I looked some more and found: "In 2020, dsm-firmenich successfully completed the longest and largest trial with Bovaer, a two-year trial with 15,000 beef cattle in Alberta and supported by ERA (Emission Reduction Alberta)." Source: https://farmersforum.com/canada-approves-bovaer-as-first-supplement-to-reduce-methane-emissions-from-cattle/ Words that sound benign, e.g. "a new substance for use in animal food" or "additive" is being used instead of "drug". And I encourage beef suppliers, farmers and all consumers of meat & dairy (essential to a healthy diet) to read the 5-page FDA May 24, 2024 CVM File: G-150438 which clearly states: "Based on the information provided in your letter, Bovaer® 10 is an article (other than food) intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of an animal, and therefore it is a drug." Worth REPEATING: a drug. On page 4 it states: "Warning: Not for human use. Caution should be exercised when handling this product. 3-nitrooxypropanol may damage male fertility and reproductive organs, is potentially harmful when inhaled, and is a skin and eye irritant. Personal protective gear, including eye wear, a dust mask, and impervious gloves, should be worn when handling this product. Operators should wash hands after handling. If accidental eye exposure occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. The safety data sheet contains more detailed occupational safety information. And a quick search of PubChem revealed the FOUR pictogram warnings. I was gobsmacked. Since the tendency I've seen is to re-brand names of the same drug or thing (which does fool some), I decided to use 3-NOP (short for 3-nitrooxypropanol) on my "Hey Wanna" cartoon people talk bubbles. I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..

I am very satisfied with the quality of this product. The printing of the image on the mug was absolutely perfect and the quality of the mug itself was very good as well. I would recommend this product to anyone. I am very pleased with how the printing on the mug turned out. The image was clear, not blurry at all, and easy to see. I would recommend this product to anyone.
