Kumaizasa Beer Stein

Kumaizasa is the family crest of Takenaka Hanbei. Many people highly evaluate Takenaka Hanbei as the greatest strategist in the Sengoku period. It is well known that he occupied Inabayama Castle, which was considered impregnable, with just 16 men to chastise his lord, Saito Tatsuoki's arrogance. It is also out of the ordinary that he abandoned the famous castle without hesitation and secluded himself in the mountains of Omi Province. During his seclusion, he was persuaded by Hideyoshi to become his counselor. At the Battle of Nagashino, he detected the Tokugawa-Takeda allied army's diversionary tactics and saved Hideyoshi from a difficult situation. His strategic thinking also played a significant role in the conquest of Harima Province. However, he was not originally robust and died at the age of 36 due to illness caused by overwork during the siege of Miki Castle in Harima Province.
