[Nijofuji] Fuji-mon / Nijofuji is Nijo family crest. The Nijo family was once a court noble and had the family lineage of being appointed to Sessho Kanpaku (Regent and Chief Adviser to the Emperor) (Sekke). After the beginning of Kamakura, the Nijo family, along with Konoe, Ichijo, Kujo, and Takatsukasa, were one of the five sekke . The name of the Nijo family was derived from the fact that Yoshizane NIJO, the second son of Michiie KUJO, called the residence of Nijo-Tomikoji Street Nijodono.
