Nietzsche 24x24 in Ovals Poster

This mosaic of Nietzsche, a tribute to the brilliant German philosopher and classical philologist, is composed of a 24 x 24 matrix of 576 turn-of-the-century German postcards. The cards have been cropped to an oval which preserves the main image while allowing some of the original image to show-through around the edges. The show-through improves the overall appearance when viewed at a distance without altering the central part of the individual postcards. The ultra-high resolution image is 525 MP (megapixels) in size and if printed at a colossal size, will print at a minimum of 360 PPI (pixels per inch). If printed at any size smaller than Zazzle's maximum size, the print resolution will be even higher. This mosaic was created by Hans Biermann who used images from his collection of over 14,700 vintage German postcards.
