Nefertiti Unfinished Jigsaw Puzzle

An unfinished head of Nefertiti from Amarna, complete with sculptor's marks. The eyes and eyebrows would have been carved out and inlaid. The head was found close to the workshop of the sculptor, Thutmose, where the more famous plaster model bust, now in Berlin, was excavated. This unfinished quartzite head is in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
