Nedda Postcard

One of our two beautiful kitties that we adopted from the Cleveland APL in April, 2000. I named her Nedda after the heroine in Leoncavallo's famous opera, I Pagliacci. I thought of Teresa Stratas at the opening of the second scene singing “Qual fiamma avea nel guardo!” Not the first part, about how jealous her husband is, but when she looks up at the doves fluttering away into a golden sky and sings the long. lyrical musing about the spirit and dreams of the doves that begins “Oh! che volo d'augelli, e quante strida!” She struck me as birder.
