Edith Blackwell Holden was a 19th century / 20th century English artist, writer and art teacher. She was influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement and specialized in painting animals and plants. She tragically died at 48 when she drowned while reaching for a chestnut branch around the Thames River.

I was actually surprised by the quality. The material feels like it can handle the wash and the print seems to be set deep in the fibers. BUT I have not washed it yet. The printing was accurate and looks like it can handle washing.
