Pastel roses, swallowtail butterflies and a painted lady butterfairy are the subject of this original artwork coffee mug by Marilyn (Tidland) Straus. The garden background is not locked in. You may remove it and add a solid colour, if you like. And what is a butterfairy? It is not a fairy, but a creature that has evolved from a butterfly. This magical, wonderful creature can only be purchased here. In 2011, the butterfairy further evolved and now has a fuzzy torso, softer mouth and hands that have detached from the wings at the wrist. Wonderful gifts for women, girls, nature lovers, gardeners and homeowners.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
