Nature leaf print of a worm eaten apple leaf tile

This image is taken from a nature leaf print. Every autumn I collect leaves from the corner of my studio door where the wind dumps them in quantity. I clean and press them before applying printmaking ink directly to the leaf. A sheet of printmaking paper is then laid on top and pressure applied to transfer the ink to the paper. This apple leaf was almost consumed by insects before falling from the tree. Nature makes the best designs.
