Napoleon Bonaparte Before the Sphinx (by Gérôme) Jigsaw Puzzle
This design features a painting by the French artist Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824–1904), who worked in a classic style now known as academicism. It depicts the the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte in Egypt during the military expedition that he led there. It is a romanticized image of Napoleon on horseback as is awestruck by the grandeur and the beauty of the ancient Egyptian Great Sphinx of Giza, which is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the head of a human and the body of a lion. The painting is also known as "Oedipus", evoking the ancient Greek myth of Oedipus and the Sphinx. The original artwork was painted by Jean-Léon Gérôme in 1886.

This is a really nice puzzle however it is what I would call fragile while putting together. The pieces fit but are very loose, you need to be constantly pushing them together and when you remove a wrong piece a lot of other pieces come with it. However, the pieces themselves are a good thickness and sturdy. It also has more than one cut to the pieces which make it challenging. I really enjoyed this puzzle and it is definitely a hard one for me. The picture on the puzzle is very good quality. It shows the book cover very well and the detail is great. The size I chose I found was perfect in detail for me. It shows very well.

This puzzle was adorable. It was given to an adult who loves Great Pyrenees. It wasn't a quick puzzle to assemble because of all the white, but he had fun doing it. The quality of this puzzle was excellent.
