[Chonojitsuru] Crane crest. "Heian Monkan" and most other family registers refer to it as 'Cho no Jikaku,' but in "Kamon no Jiten" written by Hitoshi TAKASAWA, it is explained that 'Use the letters 'Chomoji Tsuru' and 'Cho' to draw a crane.' Also, in "Nihon no Kamon" (Family Crest of Japan) edited by Kosaku ITO, the patterns are slightly different in detail, and the legs of the crane are depicted realistically, making it a character crest.

This mug was exactly as described. I have purchased the stainless steel one before and the white is a nice change (stainless steel inside). I found the lavender purple a little light for my liking but that's my fault. Next time I'll choose a more grapey purple.
