The name Nadine means hope. Symbols of hope include the anchor which remains firm in stormy waters, the golden daffodil as a sign of spring, the dove that brings assurance, the butterfly as a wink from departed loved ones, and the bright star that we wish upon. The color green is the backdrop for these symbols. Green is the color of hope because it is soothing and offers a sense of renewal, just like the budding leaves of spring.
